Another Gallery Showing

Back in September 2009, some of you may remember me making a post about one of my photographs being selected for digital display at the San Jose Museum of Art. I was proud of being selected as one of 40 participants from an international list of more than 1,000 entries, and that photo is still on digital display alongside Ansel Adams prints at the museum.

I just found out this morning that the same photograph has been selected as one of 34 from a list of 125 entries, to be displayed in print form as part of the Mammoth Lakes Library Gallery from February 1, 2010 until March 31, 2010 in Mammoth Lakes, CA.

The Library Gallery is brand new. This will be it's initial running. 2 other photos of mine have been selected to run in future galleries, though they haven't figured out when just yet.

Anyhow...good news is pretty hard to come by these days for most of us. So I thought I would share my little bit of excitement with all of you...

CONGRATULATIONS!! But I have to say this is no surprise to me. That photo is outstanding, I thought so the first time I saw it. I am just glad that you are getting the recognition your talent & skill deserve.

Well...I'm not gonna say that, because that's just silly. But this forum has been an excellent place for me to "showcase", and get some feedback on my photos. You guys have always been encouraging and free with the impressions and feelings my shots evoke, and that helps tremendously. It lets me know if the feelings I want to get across are actually coming through to te viewers...

So yea...I could have probably done it without ever having posted a photograph here to share. But it wouldn't have been nearly as much fun, and I wouldn't have had nearly the confidence and success. So thanks to everyone for taking the time to look and comment. It really does mean a lot to me...
