Meet Dazzler! DUW

Yarmuck

The Poopsmith
I took a long drive yesterday up to Stephen's house to pick up our newest addition, Dazzler! It was really fun to check out his setup and see all of his projects he's working on. He's got a Hypo Plasma that's absolutely amazing!!

My new girl is a Motley Hypo Snopal het Stripe. She's probably the most beautiful Corn Snake I've ever seen! I'm super stoked about this girl as she's going to be a big centerpiece to my breeding plans.

We actually had an interesting ride home, as she found her way out of the container and crawled up inside the passenger seat. I thought I was going to have to cut the cushions open!:headbang: Luckily, I was able to coax her out and put her in a cooler I had in the back of the van.

Anyways, she's my gorgeous new girl!

Isn't she awesome?

Wow, she _is_ a beauty! I love opals. She's like an encyclopedia of genes!! I'd sure love a tour of Stephen's collection- lucky!!

Yes, she is. What are you going to pair her with?

Well, none of my planned studs will be ready for her come 2011, so Stephen agreed he'd provide a male for her first breeding. We don't know what that will be yet.

But one of my plans is to breed her to one of my Ultramel Lavender het Motleys boys hopefully in 2012. We'll get hopefully get some Opals, Ultramel Lavenders, some with Motley and all het for Hypo and Anery. Hopefully we'll get a breeding pair of Motleys and then we'll hold those back and have a shot at this:

9 / 32 Opal, Motley ( Amel, Lavender, Motley ) 66% poss het. Anery, Hypo
9 / 32 Ultramel Lavender, Motley ( Ultramel, Lavender, Motley ) 66% poss het. Anery, Hypo
3 / 32 Snopal, Motley ( Amel, Anery, Lavender, Motley ) 66% poss het. Hypo
3 / 32 Hypo Opal, Motley ( Amel, Hypo, Lavender, Motley ) 66% poss het. Anery
3 / 32 Ultramel Anery, Lavender, Motley ( Ultramel, Anery, Lavender, Motley ) 66% poss het. Hypo
3 / 32 Ultramel Lavender, Hypo, Motley ( Ultramel, Lavender, Hypo, Motley ) 66% poss het. Anery
1 / 32 Coral Snow, Lavender, Motley ( Amel, Anery, Hypo, Lavender, Motley )
1 / 32 Ghost Lavender, Ultramel, Motley ( Anery, Hypo, Lavender, Ultramel, Motley )

If I have some luck and get a breeding pair of the Motley Ultramel Lavenders from the F1s, I'll breed them and get the F2 percentages leaning a little more towards the Ultramel/Ultra side of things.

Furthermore, with some luck, I should be picking up a male Powder later this summer. I would LOVE to pair a Powder with this girl. All the F1s would be Coral Snows het for Lavender, Charcoal, poss het Motley or Stripe. The F2s would just be AWESOME!

If you can't tell, I have a thing for the really light, iridescent corn snakes.

I bet she is killer looking in person! You lucky dog...a sweet snake AND you went to Stephen's! (just not fair...:crying:)

Sweet plans for 2012!
