My first little boy!

His name is Helios after the Greek Sun God. I think it fits him well. He is very calm and curious, especially for a young snake and has taken to his new home very nicely. I'm currently letting him get used to his new home so when he is all settled I will take even more pictures, but here is one for now:

I'm having a hard time figuring out what kind of morph he is, any ideas?

He is a pretty little Amelanistic (Amel).

You should use the search feature and look up Amel. They vary quite a bit, but they all lack dark pigment. That and you could get an idea of what he may look like as he matures.

Congrats and welcome to the addiction :D

Thanks so much! I think so too. ^_^
I figured he might have been, but I couldn't find any pictures of Amels that looked exactly like him so I wasn't entirely sure.

Not true at all. Amels can have red, but they don't have to. This is an Amel I had, from Amel X Amel pairing...not a spot of red.

That and the OP's does not look like a cross to me...?

I don't know I guess there is a possibility, but just wanted to point out that not all Amels have to have red so we didn't mislead the OP.

I was told that he looks like he could be a creamsicle by someone else
as well and I've been looking up pictures to compare since last night. I found THIS which makes me feel like he might be a creamsicle.

He could also possibly be an amelanistic Miami phase corn or one of his parents might have been. They often display orange saddles.

Like I said...it COULD be a cream...but I wouldnt be happy with a breeder if they sold me something and didn't tell me it was a mix.

I'm not very happy with the breeder at all since he couldn't tell me much of anything about Helios, he even told me he was a she. Of course I got him sexed so I know better now. But I just saw him and I liked him so much and he has such a good temperament, plus I wanted to give him a good home and all. I figured I could try and see what he was myself XD clearly it's a lot harder than I thought it would be.

Okay so I just found the breeders information and asked him about the parents. The mother is a caramel corn and the father is an amel. Now that I look at them I definitely see how he would get his looks.

The mother must have been het for Amel then. Caramel and Amel are both recessive traits. Which means for the babies to look like dad (amel) then the mother had to have been het for (had a hidden gene for) Amel.

I would've said your baby could be Amel het. Caramel and that's what he apparently is. Het caramel tends to push through Amel making the Amel more orange. :)
