Hello everyone! Needles to say I am new here, and in the corn snake world! just bought my first one yesterday in a show in lancaster county PA.

Great little girl!

Being the curious person that I am, I have been surfing the web in order to learn all I can about this little animal, this site is great!

First question for all of you knowlegeable people out there! What are all the numbers in front of the names? I know it must be something really obvious but...if I don't ask...! :crazy02:

Thank you all for your help, I will be sure to keep reading this forum, and posting all my questions!

Welcome to our humble little abode

X.0.0 = X number of male snakes

0.X.0 = X number of female snakes

0.0.X = X number of unsexed animals

No fourth digit. ;)

Ooh Oooh!

(doing my best Rorshach imitation!) I can answer a question!

The first number represents males and the second represents females. A third number means that the sex is unknown so ... I would be:

1.0.5 Amel
0.1.4 Normal het. amel

because I have a male amel and 5 amel babies and a female normal het. amel and 4 normal het. amel babies.

Did I get that right?

Thanks!

So if I am correct, owning one female okeetee will make it a:
0.1.0 Okeetee

correct?

God, I love this stuff!

Thanks for your help!

Rod
