1st Pippies Of The Year Part #2.

"Quality Before Quantity"
Hi Everyone,
This post is to go with the original but I felt this one deserved it's own thread. I have been very excited about this clutch ever since I saw what Brent got out of these two last year. Here is the first baby out of the egg. Low and Behold! PLATINUM (a.k.a. Phantom Anery, Hypo+Charcoal+Anery). These things are very distinguishable right out of the egg. The eyes on these things are incredible. Nice dark saucers with ruby pupils and the "blue" eyebrows are super cool. I think the overall coloration of these guys is quite striking and it hasn't even shed yet. If you look close at the pictures you can still see the "egg tooth". Thanks for looking and I hope you like.
Jay

P.S. Thanks Brent!

Do you have phantoms to do a comparison post? Just curious how obvious they are that they are different...got a few odd balls around here that 'might' be one of these. :shrugs:

I was thinking how you tell the difference between a phantom and a platinum as well.

Thanks for all the nice replies everyone. I really like the look of this morph. The ones Brent produced caught my eye the second I saw them last season. I don't remember who has an adult but she posted pictures of it and this morph is quite striking as an adult.

I don't have a Phantom, why I don't know, to do any kind of comparison. The only reason I know for a fact they are Platinum is because the pairing of the genetics would not allow me to produce a Phantom. There are some very clean looking Ghosts in the clutch as well but the Platinums are very distinguishable. They stick out like a sore thumb.

I was impressed simply by looking at it.
I was even more impressed when I read "hasn't shed yet". WOW. :dancer:

Congrats, Jay!!

That would be Carol. She has the female I sold to her several years ago now.

Here's the last pic I took of her before she left: (I know, I know . . . how on earth did I let something like that go!)
