2010 CS.com NFL Football Pick 'Em

Are we able to change all our picks now, until 5 minutes before that particular game? (i.e our picks aren't locked on Thursday? I can only see the NO/MN picks that people made)

I was wondering the same thing! Like it was two years ago. Last year sucked for those that forgot about the weeknight game and didn't get their picks in.

Oh, Dave, you might be better off donating a gift certificate instead of a hatchling as it's a long season, and your hatchling will be almost a yearling by then... :grin01: Or if it's one from next year, who knows what you'll have?

Or you guys can just go ahead and send me the prizes, and the peanut butter cookie, right now...because I'm going to win...and somehow I will be dividing my personalities so that we take 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc... Good luck!

Wow, I'm kinda scruffy/drunk lookin'.

Well, I was holding up hope for the Vikings to win, but the Saints held their lead.

The only good news is I'm tied for first in the pick em, which is probably the best I will do all season.

It bugs me when Brett Favre and a supposedly pretty good offense in Minnesota can only score 9 points... WTH????

Their defense did the job... the offense... anemic at best.

Kudos to the Saints for defending their title on a positive note! :)

The flip side is that the Saints only put up 14 pts as well. I read that this was the fewest points put up by the Saints in a win since Sean Payton has been the head coach. At times I thought the Saints looked good on offense, other times not so much. They need to solidify their running game.

But their D was better than I thought the'd be.

Now the Vikings on the other hand, its going to be a long long season for them unless they get things fixed ASAP. Their defense did a good job, considering their secondary injuries at holding Saints to 14 pts. But their offense only put up 65 yds in the 2nd half!??! Especially with Sydney Rice out until mid-season and Harvin with his migraines...

The Vikings have shot themselves in the foot by putting all of their eggs into the Farve basket. I don't think he'll last the entire season, and even if he does, they're back at square one that they were in earlier this year with the QB situation.

Indicative of our society as a whole, going for instant gratification w/o planning long term.

That was some game last night... By the looks of the first offensive drive by the Saints, I was thinking it would turn into a straight up shoot-out. But after the Vikes came out looking lethargic by running 3 out of 4 times I thought that the Saints were going to just blow out the Vikings. I had no idea that the final would've only been 14-9. Kind of an ugly game all the way around.

Malcolm Jenkins really stepped in well for the Saints, though, in replacement of Sharper. The Vikings really didn't impress me in any areas last night. I kind of feel like they'll depend a little too much on AP this year, and for every nice run that he seems to have, he'll have a drop in the back field. You would think that his build would make him the best short yardage back in the game, but he hesitates for too long after the snap, and although he's fast, he doesn't have that burst to try and make the plays in the backfield like CJ.

I just can't wait for the Jets vs Ravens. That's almost as good as a playoff game right there!

They say a win is a win, but as a Saints fan, I was disappointed in last night's game. It's like we never could get in a groove. There were a few nice plays but for the most part we looked bad. I bet Sean Peyton had some choice words for his players after the game.

Yeah, I'm excited to watch the Jets defense and to see if Joe Flacco can get the passing game going.

The Jets D should be Super Bowl caliber this year. But I'm not sure about Sanchez and the rest of the offense. Their running game masked Sanchez's beginner prone mistakes. I still think letting Jones go in the off-season was a big mistake for them. But what do I know?

Definitely looking forward to Monday's game! Two top notch defenses going against two offense with questions. Should be great.

A lot! lol. I feel the same way about Jones. It just seems really foolish to let go of a guy who rushed for 1,400+yds and expect to have the same success as last year.

Personally, I really feel like this should be a certain win for Baltimore. I respect the Jets D, but I think that our offense will be a lot more productive on that D, than that offense against our D. Sanchez is still a big ? to me. And without one of the leagues best O-linemen (Faneca) and one of the top rushers last year in Jones, I feel like they're in for a long season.

PS anyone that picked AGAINST the Saints is just WRONG!!1!!!!
I was wrong. Deal with it. It's one game of 16! :D

I'd be willing to donate one of my hatchlings as a prize.

Brent, I know you live in Grand Forks, but you are gonna lose this week. :D
It's one game of 16 for the week too . . . :D As for the season, it's not a sprint, it's a marathon.
