2010 Ghost Bloodred, "Pandora"

Bird Nerd
This girl just arrived today from John at Colorado Corns. I couldn't be more pleased with her, she is absolutely gorgeous! She must have had a crazy ride out here in the snow because she was NOT happy about our first photo session.

She is a white-sided ghost blood that has a date with my male pied in a couple years. I love how in some of these pictures you can see the veins running down her white sides. The pictures were taken in natural light and are mostly true. She has some peachy tones that didnt come through on some of the pics. I tried some with flash but they did not do her justice.

Weighing in at 18g...

Thanks again John, I love her already!!

Did you have snow up there? The forecast didn't say anything about snow but glad she made it there safe.
John

It snowed around 2" last night. But it was barely below freezing. I was worried but she was plenty warm in the shipping box when I opened it.

Wow, she looks a lot more like Lyra in the pictures you took. The ones John had made her looks so silvery!

Sorry my pics aren't so good, I'll start sending you snake to take pics of but you have to promise to send them back.:sidestep:

What set this one apart (the pics don't show it very well) is the head pattern, she had almost no head pattern.
John

I tried to take a picture of her head pattern but she kept tagging me and the camera :grin01:
It doesnt help that the pictures came out a bit overexposed, though.

When I took pictures of her using the flash, she came out looking very silvery.

Well, I may just have to keep them awhile, so I get the pictures just right...

Wow, that's weird how much of a difference flash makes on that girl! I like the picture with flash though because you can really see the difference between the speckled pigmented part of her sides and the white parts. I prefer using natural lighting over flash, but things get softer as well. I guess there are details you lose either way.

Some of the pictures I took of Lyra without flash turned out very pink as well. I was actually going to add them to my thread earlier, but my bfs mom came over and I got distracted. I'm going to go add them now though.

I like the baldy head pattern too, but I just couldn't resist the elongated neck pattern Lyra has. My first choice was actually this girl because i thought she was the perfect combo of aberrant saddles and minimal head pattern.

She was taken though. I struggled over one of the baldies vs. Lyra for awhile, and decided to go with Lyra.

So that I'm not hijacking your thread with pictures of other snakes, here is the picture John took of what I believe is Pandora.

Hope you don't mind me posting those, John!

I think it is hard to replicate the true colors of these morphs, until they are seen them in person no matter what light they are shot in. If you walked into my (and others) snake room and saw some of these in person you would never leave.
John

the minute I saw the title I was like wait I didn't post a thread about Pandora. I have a ghost bloodred that is named Pandora as well :)

She is stunning. I have her sister from John and she is quite the character lol.

:roflmao: The best part is that yours is from this same clutch as well!

Hrm, Angela, maybe you should come up with a different name?! :grin01:

Here's your Pandora, Jenn...

And here's Lyra.

It'll be really cool to compare them in a year or so and see how different they all look from each other. BTW Jenn, updates of your girl would be great!

Alrighty, I'll just let my boyfriend know I'm moving to Colorado... :sidestep:
