2012 Keepers So far

So I figured I'd start posting some of the keepers since most have had their first shed. Most have had one meal and tonight was feeding night #2. For those who hadn't shed since last feeding, they get their first meal tonight and last week's kids who ate got their second meal.

Anyways, first up will be the keepers from this pairing. Though, I did include the three normal stripes from it - only because I thought they were pretty cool. The three normal stripes I am not keeping.

Anery Stripe het hypo/amel (female) x Ultramel Motley/stripe

1.0 Ultramel Stripe het anery ph hypo

There were six in the clutch. 3.3 ratio. I'm keeping 1.2 - the Ultramel Striped Male, an Amel Motley female, and an amel cube-striped female. =)

Next post will feature some of the keepers from the Ultramel Motley (male) x Anery het amel, motley (female) pairing.

Ultramel Motley (male) x Anery het amel, motley are the parents.

0.1 Ultramel Motley het anery - named "Boo". See if you can guess why!

1.0 Amel Motley het anery - Not a keeper, hoping my coworker takes him as he has a slight kink near his tail. He has eaten once on his own already with no issues however.

Next up are some random pictures from my 'project' clutch. It's going to be a line-breeding project so hopefully these guys will color out like I hope they will. =) I have them labeled, but am only putting up the best pictures. I've called this my "Dark Clutch". Some of you already know what I've got planned.

I know the 'dark clutch babies' are normals, but I'm already happy with what I see. I'm hoping they color out similar to their dad, if not darker. ;)

Wow, three great clutches Jen. Those cubes and the ultramel mots are really nice kids. Neat stuff :)

Thanks Chris! What do you think of the beginning of the dark project? You were one of the ones I talked to about it lol. I think the babies came out -great-. The photo's still don't do them justice...the reds are super super dark and the borders are pretty thick.

Gorgeous babies! I LOVE that last Normal Stripe in the first batch of photos. Looks like she's going to be a stunner!

Agreed! And a local friend of mine already asked for her. So even though I won't have her, I'll know who has her and will be able to see how she colors up. =)

Funny. I just get this thread up and running and my last clutch begins pipping ;). The clutch hatching is my mystery clutch..it's been going back and forth what the mother is but the overall judgement is that she's Ulttramel Anery. So far, the clutch is proving that out. Out of 17 good eggs, five have pipped and all are pink headed.
