2012 Pictures (WARNING: MANY PICTURES)

Reptie Lover
So, past couple of times I've posted up pictures they were all taken with my phone. I've recently gotten a Canon Rebel T2i DSLR for my commercial photo class and one of the things I've been dying to do is to get pictures of my 2010 and 2011's modelling on a rattlesnake sculpture my sister bought me. I am only missing one of the 2011's and one of the 2010's in the photo's but both were deep in shed - and seeing how the pictures of my hypo motley were in shed I decided to wait.

I do apologize for the amount of pictures posted. I'm going to try to limit it to at least one of each snake and put at least 4 towards each post. =)

Also just a note - the only editing I did to these photos was adjust the sharpness and crop - as well as add in watermarks.

Starting off I'll go ahead and post up the 2010's:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here we have Aku, an Anery male. He's a bit on the small size but he pounds rat pinkies every week.
Next we have Spitfire, an anery het hypo, lavender, amel, motley female.
Next up is Chii, a butter het motley (and I believe het anery). She's also a bit on the small size for a 2010 but she was a very late start. For six months I assist fed her when I first purchased her as a non-feeder and after those six months she finally began eating on her own. She's catching up to the others though! And she is probably the most docile snake ever. She comes out of her cage and will just sit on your shoulder all day. (Yes, she's one of my favorites).
Up next is Spitfire's clutchmate - Brickery, a normal het hypo, lavender, anery, amel, motley.
See next post for more pictures. =)
Here we have one of my charcoals - turns out I have a male and female and not two females. Unfortunately I lost the sheet their names were on (I didn't name them myself..my bf named one and a friend of mine named the others)..so they're listed either as No Name #1 &2 or CM and CF.
This one here is the boy. I love this picture because his scales practically shine.
And after him is the female charcoal.
And the last of my 2010's - until they shed, is Mango - an amel Motley.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

Now on to the 2011's!

Peaches - a female amel het hypo, anery, caramel that I produced myself.

IMG_0551.jpg

Razire - a small male amel het hypo, anery, caramel that I also produced.

Next post!

Melon - An amel female het hypo, anery caramel - Another one I produced myself.

IMG_0541.jpg

Next up is Popuri - a Normal female het hypo, anery, caramel ph amel. Also produced here. I decided to put two pictures up of her because she was very into pretending to be the rattlesnake.

Next up is Ziggy and Fyco - they are very tiny 2011s and are very late starters. They have just now started eating on their own and are still catching up. They just had their third shed so hopefully they'll start getting bigger for me.

Fyco is an amel male het hypo, anery caramel

Next post! Last ones!

Now for the ones I picked up this year!

Saint Madelaine - Ghost Motley female. Check out the little symbol on her head - everyone says it looks like the Saints' insignia. Name came from that and from one of the characters in "Interview with a Vampire".

IMG_0524.jpg

Next is of "Armand", a granite male. Not sure if he is late 2010 or very early 2011. He was a mislabel at the Repticon. Was put down as a 'ghost motley'

IMG_0507.jpg

And last but not least is the hypo motley (Though she could be classic...its hard to say)...known as Claudia. She is in shed in this picture and wasn't going to post the pictures - but I decided to show you her pretending to be the rattlesnake as well.

And that's it! I'll try to get pictures of my adults later. =)

And for those interested in viewing all the other photographs I have - check out -> http://photobucket.com/rsprop

I forgot to mention how I set up this photo session. Just got a small table, put a black towle on it - draped upwards over something on the back and put the snake sculpture on it. Had a few lights on but the way my camera works it relies on its flash and captures the subject itself almost perfectly. =)

some cracking pictures there.
Is the charcoal pair definate though?, again it might be my pc but they look very anery to me.

They were sold to me as charcoals. They do have the same belly pattern that I've seen on other charcoals as well...I won't know until I do a test breeding with them.

Lovely photos and snakes! I'm with cornmorphs on the darkness of the charcoal pair being unusual for that morph, but I've seen stranger things. Heck, they might even be charcoal anerys. In any case, they are gorgeous! It's not easy to find either morph that black nowadays. I especially love the black dots on the male's nose!

I will recommend that you forego the sharpness in your photo editing. They don't need it and it does make the photos seem a little "grainy", for lack of a better term right now.

Thanks Susan. And yeah, I was surprised too by how dark they were - but thats what makes them so different I suppose. I have three anery's (an adult and the two 2010's) and none of them look anything like what are supposed to be my charcoals. They do have the similar charcoal belly patterns though (will get photo's of those later).

As for the 'sharpness'..I think I know where my mistake was. I think I sharpened each photo twice on accident - because when I went back to crop, it said I hadn't sharpened. The first time I do it it does help quite a bit and does NOT make anything 'grainy'. I'll attempt that once I do some more photo edits.

Thanks again for the comments though. =)

Indeed, it is too much I think, they would be perfect after cropping only!
