2015 Breeding Season

Target: Orchids Stargazer free.

This is a Rich Z Orchid tested to be Stargazer free bred to a Stargazer free line of Orchids from Chuck Pritzel, remember him? Too bad he isn't still as active as in the past, to help us figure out new Corn Snake genes.

Good to see the Grand Bubble Burster back in action. :wavey:

June 5-6, Got to get more posted before they lay.

Amel het Striped Sunkissed Ice x Normal het Striped Sunkissed Snow Lava

This line has RC in it and doesn't have YJ. A Striped Champagne was used to begin the project, so any nice RC Striped Sunkissed Amels, or RC Striped Snow Sunkissed would be nice.

I can get Striped Sunkissed Lavas and Striped Sunkissed Ice too.

Bloodred het Caramel PS x Tessera het Caramel Bloodred

Target: Tessera Caramel Bloodred

Last year, I bred these two lines to their siblings with the same genetics. This year, I mixed it up a little.

This Bloodred het Caramel PS is het for YJ. It is the only thing causing him to be orange, instead of red. You see this often in Bloodred het Pewter and Bloodred het Lavender as well.

We all like YJ, when we don't know it is there, like with the Light Phase Phenotypes of Pewter and Plasma. It obviously has a hypomelanistic effect on all of our Mutant Genes, and is at least co-dominant.

YJ het Striped Sunkissed Lava Butter x Same

Target: Striped Lava Honey, or Striped Topaz Sunkissed have eluded me in the past.

Every breeder from this project is at least Het YJ. A Striped Butter, was used to begin the project that was homo YJ.

He was exceptionally nice, very bright, and more yellow than some Striped Butters. YJ does make a big difference on Caramels and Butters, not to mention what it does to Amels and Bloodreds.

Tessera Hypo het Sulfer x Bloodred het Amel PS

Target: Tessera Fires. I haven't produced any yet.

Yes the male is het YJ, but only half of the offspring will be yellow. YJ and RC in the same clutch is interesting.

June 6th continued

Sunkissed Anery het Striped X RC Amel het Striped Sunkissed Anery

Target: Striped Sunkissed Anery.

I started three different lines with similar genetics. This female is from the RC Amel Sunkissed het Lava female bred to a Tess het Sunkissed Lava male this year.

Many of these females proved to be het for Lava, but some didn't. Since I can't produce Lava from this female, she is a good choice for this male.

Got to get them bred. Most of my breeding this year, came within a three week period.

Striped Blue x Same

These vary a LOT, but due to yellow and pink color additions. Plain old Dilute Anerys, are the bluest.

Strawberry het Sunkissed x Strawberry ph Sunkissed

Target: Strawberry Sunkissed hopefully.

I have a very nice male Strawberry Sunkissed, but he was shy, so this guy helped me out. The Straw Sunkissed did finally figure it out, before the last female was bred.

I should have a bunch of very nice Strawberries this year.

Topaz Bloodred het Straw x Straw het Fire

Target: Straw Bloodreds het Caramel

This male could be homo Straw. He kind of looks different. I am not sure what the addition of Straw to Topaz or Lava will do, but I am bound to produce some from this project.

All of the breeders from this project are still being tested out. Surprises are common from this line. The female could prove to be het for Topaz from this breeding. Ph's can be fun.

I can't believe I wasted this female on this male!

Just kidding, I am going to produce every possible Tessera Combine I can, and boy can I.

Tessera het Lava Snow x Lava Okeetee het Amel

Target: Tessera Lavas

Without YJ, and some nice stripes down the back. I think the Okeetee will straighten out half of this Tesseras offspring into stripes and the other half Aztec. We will get to see.
