36 Gallon Bowfront Terrarium

Well here's the lid, the screen is attached directly to the frame and center brace via a non water soluble glue. If I'm doing anything in the tank that requires more then the first third of my arm, I just remove the whole glass portion, it works pretty well so far =3

The humidity was hanging around 60% prior to any misting today, I think that's a pretty good sign =3

Yeah, I'm working on the vine part, I wish I could get more then 6' at a time, the plants are taken care of though, I imagine the pothos I put in there should grow pretty well.

Well It'll be awhile, at least a couple weeks, it's been too hot, with lows in the mid 90's and highs in the 100's for the past couple weeks. So I'm not going to risk shipping anything right now.

Not yet, i'm still trying to get a handle on all the morphs. Its more complicated then i was expecting. Im not looking to breed though, just looking for some nice display animals =3

Yeah, the morphs are a little difficult, they so far haven't found any recessive or dominant genes in them, except maybe Dalmatian spots. Everything so far is line breeding. One importnant thing to remember is that they change color and whatever color they "fire up" to, is supposed to be their "official" designation. Are there any morphs you are liking best so far?

So far high contrast harliquins and fires are really catching my eye, especially if they have pinstriping, I really love the pinstriping =3

I did see some nice looking cresties yesterday, but the shop wanted too much for them, $150 for a pair of unsexed wild type geckos is a bit much in my opinion.

Yeah, that's a good bit much. For a confirmed female of decent color and structure, you are probably looking at a minimum of $100 each, if it's anywhere near breeding size. Bit less for ones in the 13 to 19 or so gram range. But places like Petco do occasionally get great looking adults in for around $50 or $25 if they are on sale. Never have adults at the one near me but I've heard of it happening.

Yeah, I was checking out petco as well, but they had just sold their last one before I got there, no biggie though, the reptile guy said he would order some for me whenever I was ready to buy them. The other shop I called wanted $60 per lizard, I could choose the sex, but I would have to pay a seperate shipping charge on each reptile, I was like what kind of madness is that? I'd do better on kinsnake buying grabbag geckos. I swear some of these shops must think everyone is a moron.

Im also keeping my eyes on CL, I saw a moonglow male there the other day, but the owner wants to trade for a tegu lol

lol that is a big jump for the owner, from crestie to tegu! I'm having a hard time with the cresties myself, I want 2 females, But I'm trying to decide how much I am willing to spend, I also want them at the youngest they can be guaranteed female, with intact tail. I too really like the high contrast harleys and flames, they are so pretty!

Got an unusually fat paycheck this week (wooo holiday pay!), might be getting some nicer geckos then I expected.

Hoping for a good looking flame/harley partial pinstripe trio =3
But we will see, it's all weather dependent right now.

Yeah, thats what it looks like I'll have to do. The weather is being a bit un cooperative these days. He said he could send them to the shipping hub for pick up, but I will still likely end up waiting a while.

Here are some good breeders I'd recommend, I have a gargoyle from each of them.

And this one is having a great sale on her cresteds this month, 20% off the first one and then more off each additional gecko, don't remember the details completely. They might have websites but I'm not sure, just have their FB pages. I'm sure they would both be willing to hold geckos for you until the weather is better for shipping.

They live close to me and I've met both and seen in person most of their animals at shows, they have some really good ones.

Just looked at their availability and most are NOT fired. He's pretty quick to get back to you with fired up pics though. My Tacoma was a real pain to get fully fired, so it takes some patience. :nope:

Well I ordered a trio of 8-10 week old babies this morning, from Pangaea, I should be getting them in a week (cooler temps and my off day). This is my first time receiving reptiles in the mail, but I'm sure things will be fine.

I'll be posting photos once they settle in a bit =3
