*end dentist approved joke*
Onto Seriousness... Being a new corn owner, i worry about handling scruffy when he's just ate his pinky. So i like some on here feed in his viv, i take the necessary precatuions as much as i willingly can, but monday he out smarted me.
I get home from work, get a pinky ready and all that fun stuff, remove all his hides, and wake his butt up from underneath his water bowl. I usually leave 1 hide for him (his rock) cause i get everything out like 5 mins before putting the pinky in. I put a newspaper in the tank covering up my substrate, atleast 75% of the tank is covered in paper. I remove his last hide, and he does his normal routine, explore, surf the glass, check out his thermometer, then finally onto the pinky.
Currently his body is 40% on substrate and 60% on the newspaper, but for some god awful reason he grabs the pinky and does a little curl up trick. Dragging the pinky into the substrate.
. All i can do is watch him scarf it down, but i did manage to pull off some big pieces off the substrate, but he did take down a few pieces with him. I called the vet and they said to monitor his condition, if he gets depressed or anything like that let them know and they'll xray.
3 nights and 2 days later, he's still doing good.. Hiding under his water bowl, and exploring at night, hope he doesn't have any problems.
Sorry, just wanted to get this out there, think next monday it's seperate feeding tub time.
