And that's all. In reality, I took about 900 pictures, but I would take about 5 for every subject knowing that some would be blurry or otherwise flawed, and most weren't nice enough to make the cut.

Thanks for the waterlily shots! I love the stacked rocks.

brilliant pics! im with nanci, i love the rocks!

Waterlilies are just fun to take pictures of in my opinion. They bloom and close back up within the same day, only to bloom again the next day with a totally different appearance. I waited a couple days on those lilies for the best looking blooms.

And I meant to add that the stacked rock pictures was my favorite of the vacation, so much in fact that I set it as my background. :grin01:

With those long exposure shots it's obviously best to have a tripod, but if you can manage to find a stable rock that'll work too. Little trick....set the timer so that the camera doesn't shake when you depress the button to take the shot. Any little vibrations in a long exposure shot like that kill the sharpness.

Well, I'm particularly fond of the Timber Rattler! Awesome looking snake! Too bad it was dead, but hey!! You still found a timber rattler!

It's a little bit blurry because it was out of focus. It's kinda hard to focus properly in the dark. I did in fact use a timer and used a chair as a stand/tripod/thing. I had to use a time because I would need time to pull out a lighter and light the sparkler before the shot was taken. :)

I was referring to the waterfall shot---not the writing one. :)
