Here is a pic of my breeding between a male blizzard X Butter and a Female Hypo Amel. These guys are looking to jump out the egg soon and one already has come out. First one out shows no kinks or signs of damage from incubating at low temps. They began hatching yesterday and the eggs were laid 4-25-11. Hope they all come out as healthy looking as the first little fellow. Happy Herping!!! Reptileman1979

Dude, the font...Stop yelling at me!!! Lol I've heard folks incubating at room temps with no issues whatsoever, in fact it is probably better to incubate at a cooler temp than a higher one...
 
People have also done test hatchings at lower temps and compared them to eggs out of the same clutch at a higher temp. They did take longer to hatch at lower temps and also the hatchlings were lighter in color shade than the ones hatched at normal temps.
 
So with those lower temps it took about 75-80 days for them to hatch? Congrats on the babies, hope they are all doing great so far! Mine are still incubating and on day 52 at temps of 79-82 degrees, average is 81-82 degrees. What is the normal hatch range? I've heard 56 days is one of the days that corns like to hatch on but some longer....at the temps I keep them at how long is average?

I am one that does shelf incubation and my temps were about the same as yours and mine hatched on day 62.
 
sorry guys didn't mean to make everything that big on the font.... Yeah babies all looking well so far and Im waiting on 15 more to hatch in total out of the 25 laid. Thanks for the feedback..

55-65 days is usually the case at 82 degree incubation. Post some pics when they hatch. What morphs do you have cooking by the way?
 
Hey guys I meant to ask where you guys are getting your bulk pinkies at? I was thinking LLLReptile.com but they make you wait almost a week before delivery. I need some delivered in the next few days so I have them ready to feed as soon as these little guys settle in and have there first shed.
 
I think when ordering in bulk it is going to take about a week no matter who you go with. I order through RodentPro.
 
Bulk ordering is always going to take time. Your hatchlings will not starve to death in just a week.
 
Yeah I know they wont starve. Im sure it will be 5 or 6 days before they shed anyways. You guys been pretty happy with everything from Rodent Pro? Are all the pinkies / mice frozen seperately where they are not all stuck together when they arrive? This will be my first time orderering through them and I figure I will go ahead and get a bunch of jumbo mice with my package to make the 41 bucks in shipping worthy. I know LLLReptile raves about there pinkies being individually frozen where they dont stick together.

Yeah once they all come out of there eggs I will get a few good photos uploaded to my photobucket account. Seems like when I try and upload onto this forum it never works...:confused:

I have not had a problem with RodentPro yet. The mice don't come washed and blow dried but what do I care. I am just going to put them in a glass of warm water. But no they don't come all nasty, stuck together and stinky.
