A little skin left after shed

Bigger house=more snakes!
OK, Cheerio shedd in the night last night. I took him out to examine him and there are two tiny pieces left on his back. What should I do? Thanks

You could follow what Nanci has written in one of her advice threads. She said to take a containers and put a few centimetres or so of water (depends on the size of the snake) and also place a small towel/flannel in there. Let him just roam around in there and then you could manually remove the pieces.

Hope that helps!

David

Brilliant advice Nanci.

What I do if it's just a couple of smaller pieces is wet a q-tip and dab the area a couple of times. Give it a sec to absorb the moisture and it should come right off. If it's larger then I do a variation of what Nanci does. But I like her idea better so I'll probablly adopt that.

Thanks

Thanks for the advice, and the link Nanci. Those were pretty pictures. Cheerio doesn't have that much on him, just two tiny pieces on his back. I think the qtip will be plenty.

How did Cheerio turn out?

What's up Tracey? Cheerio looks so good after the shed. All shiney and new looking. I took a wet qtip to one area and it's like it disappeard. I'll check tomorrow to see if it came off. I was a bit distracted having play time in the living room floor. :spinner: Thank goodness I put him on a towel, he pood and it stunk. :puke01:
