Corn crazed Canuck
Hiya.... I'm Chris, 28 from Ont. Canada. I haven't been "into" snakes for that long, a couple years... I originally was a lizard person, raised and bred bearded dragons and leopard gecko's. Never thought about snakes until I carpooled to a reptile expo with a local cornsnake breeder. When I dropped him off, he invited me in. I came home with my first cornsnake that day. Unfortunately he died ( I think due to my inexperience... feeding too soon after regurge, causing more regurging ).
Anyways, my collections consist of:
- way too many fish ( yes I breed fish.... love the syno species )
- 1 dog
- 4 bearded dragons
- 10 leopard gecko's ( just downsized from over 30)
Snakes:
1.1 BRB ( Brazilian Rainbow Boa's )
1.0 Colombian BCI
Cornsnakes:
1.1 Snows
1.1 Normal ht amel, possible ht blizzard
1.1 Normal motley ht anery, possible het amel ( parents the same as the pair next listed)
1.1 Amel stripe ht anery motley ( that's what the breeder called them ) ( parents were normal stripe x anery motley stripe)
1.0 Red Candy Cane
1.0 Anery ht Amel
1.0 Amel ( parents listed as Miami x Miami )
1.0 Amel ht I don't know... ( Parents listed as Butter x Miami.... they had to have had hets to produce the amel.... I'm assuming my snake would be ht. Caramel)
1.0 Crimson
1.0 OCC
0.1 Normal ht. Charcoal
0.1 Anery striped motley
0.1 Anery ht Hypo
0.1 Amel ht Caramel ht Motley
0.2 normal ht amel/lavender/bloodred
0.1 hypo motley
0.1 Caramel
0.1 Snow Motley
0.1 Amber
The majority of my corn's came from one breeder, ( Simon Fung ) and I would like to introduce "new blood" into my collection but the majority of corn's around here are SF stock. I am interested in possibly getting some in from the US, so we'll battle that one when the $ allows
I'm working on learning all about the genetical aspects of breeding corns right now by talking to other breeders and browsing through this site. It is kinda complicated LOL, but sooner or later I will catch on.
Anyways, if you made it thru this far, thanks for reading.
