Absolutely stunning! Loving the markings on that one. I would have had a hard time returning that one to the wild.

Yeah, I decided to keep this one (I usually just move them off the roads). I have other hots so it's not a big issue... hopefully I can pair it up...I snake hunt 4-5 nights a week when I'm not working. I'll run accross another one sooner or later...

Thansk again everyone!

So how do you sex a hot? Tube them and probe them? (Is that what it's called when you put them in a plexiglass tube--tubing?)

Yep, I don't like pinning/holding hots so I tube them (less stressful & safer)... and yes, I will pop first and then probe to be sure of sex (do it right the first time so I don't have to do it again- lol). If at all possible I never touch my hots... no reason- I can do most everything I need by hooks and transfer boxes.

Cool Snake! Someone actually bright me a perfectly striped copperhead years ago before i was into beeding. We took a few pics and turned it loose.
Sure wish i could find one like that again lol.

Come to my house and look in my basement. We find one under the laundry pile at least once a year lol! My mom about has a heart attack and when I was a kid she used to beat the crap out of me trying to keep me out of the basement. Too bad most of them end up with their heads chopped off :(

Beautiful snake. I love copperheads. One of my favorites. Can't believe the pattern on that guy.I know I would of kept him. Congrats!!!

Thanks everyone- I was excited to find it too. Maybe I'll run accross another with a pattern that abbarent sooner or later. A friend brought me one he found the other day with a few unconnecting blotches but nothing like this...
