It has been dicused before and the expence was the issue. How much would it cost to have a decent chat room added that is devoted to this site. Not a link? Rich, would you consider it if we could get a pledge drive going to cover expences? Would anyone else even be intrested? I think there are enough people here to make it work if we all pitched in a little.

I will plege $75 . Thats a little over 1/10 of the way. I don't think it would have to be near as advanced as fuana. There would be no need for more then one room. That would only hurt. It would divide an already small group at any given time. Rich, are you agreeing to do it if we pay?

I never see anyone on the FaunaClassifieds chat room, so I personally doubt anyone would use one on this site. If I'm wrong, and alot of people want to chat, use the site already in existance and don't give Rich another headache. And if alot of people ARE already using the FaunaClassified chat room...WHEN? Some of us might like to know so we can possibly join in.
I personaly think it has some kind of flaw in it. I can only get in every 10th atempt. It may be just me , but I can get in to other chat rooms anytime I try.Besides I'm often turned off of herp chat rooms because I only have a passing intrest in rattle snakes, boas, turtles ect. I think a corn snake chat would be much more lively because we would all be on the same page more or less.
Yeah, it would be little difference between having a link here to the FaunaClassifieds chat or to a new one I built on CornSnakes.com. It is still going to be a link, no matter how you look at it. All it takes is to be registered on FaunaClassifieds (which is free) and you have access to a chat system already set up.
I guess I am having difficulty understanding why that is too much of a hassle to do. It is a WHOLE lot less hassle then it would be for me to set up another chat system. Matter of fact, I'm not even sure I could run two chat engines on the same server anyway. There could be a conflict with the java engine that they run under. And I really don't need another server problem to try to troubleshoot.....
