Accidental find in Riverside

Well, thank you for the vote of confidence :)

But I shant be over-confident as that's how every keeper tends to get nailed. So I will stay on my tippiest of tip toes with this little scamper.

Still am teeter tottering on that decision haha! I got in touch with someone local to me (I buy all my feeders from him) who is well known to the breeder circuit and reptile shows, and he referred me to a fellow he is close with who breeds and sells captive bred rattlesnakes right here close to me. So I will be consulting with him very soon for some advice and insight. I have a nutty Woma and an Eastern Indigo who keep me on my toes for sure, along with 4 other easy going snakes (Pinesnake, and 3 boa's), but combined they are nothing compared to the toe balancing that will be demanded with this little fella! If I take this on, I want it to be for the right reasons, not just for the sake of feeling cool and accomplished with myself for risking my life every day haha!

Ooooh! What a beautiful little buzztail! I'd (selfishly) want you to keep him so we could see progression pics (given that Graham never posts anymore :p ).

All ya'll are not helping me make responsible decisions here dangit! :dgrin:

Just finished a photo shoot with the little buggar and he was a saint! Will take me some time to post them, but hopefully they are awesome :)

This little death snake is seriously so mellow and cool! Just poses and explores for the camera and doesn't mind me in his space at all. Not one strike and I was moving all around him a bunch so I could get tongue flickering shots. He is something special for sure!

little teaser:

I LOVE how the keeled scales gives them a sort of "fuzzy" look! Not fuzzy in the traditional furry/fluffy sense, but fuzzy as in out of focus or blurred.

Totally!

I am no camera pro, and I definitely am not a pro with hots, so it was a trial and error shoot for me there ha!

Yeah that yawn kinda sunk my heart when he did that haha! Now I am like, how can I put this sweet tiny little guy out into the mean ol world where he more than likely is gonna be eaten by something. Gah!

He wouldn't even make a decent appetizer for a condor! Would be a waste... Like one of us eating a TicTac...

Yeah he is seriously teeeeny. I took an empty toilet paper roll center and put it in with him last night, and he went right inside it and coiled up with plenty of room to spare. Later I was looking at my yearling indigo last night (my cages are all stacked and the dinky child is on top), and was thinking how the little guy would be a noodle of a meal to him. Heck my yearling woma looks like a giant to me now at a measly 3.5 feet after handling the little tyke!

Well, there is a new set up in my place as of Saturday's trip to buy this Vision cage off of Craigslist. Yeh, I have a new adopted critter now, no thanks to any of you!!

:grin01:
;)
