adotion home study + reptiles = ? fail ?

People often don't react with animals the way they do with children. I've seen well behaved, well groomed, well fed children come in... with the emaciated, matted family dog.

With what you see everyday, you are probably right.
But based only on what he has posted....

and let's face it, taking proper care of a corn is as easy as pie.
So, he is either incapable of it, or he really doesn't give a crap.

If he is incapable, then how capable is he in other areas?
And if he doesnt give a crap, then what other things won't he give a crap about?

So, looking at this from the standpoint of someone in the business of adopting out children does he seem like a good risk to you so many others want to adopt as well?

edit to say, if your reproductive organs work, any idiot can be a parent. And most of the time the kids do ok. But this guy wants someone to hand him over a child. Based on what he has posted so far...well my opinion has been stated.

I don't know Beth...

But I think it a 50/50 here.

You can have a fancy house, food on the table and take family vacations.
And still be a ty parent.

Edit.. I only read what he posted on this thread. I have no clue on his history.

Dave, you are right, you can.
But he is asking someone to hand over a child for him to raise, when he has made it clear that he does not care to do what is best for his pets.
He "might" make a great parent. And if he could "roll his own" it would be a mute point. But if I were in the adoption business, based on what he has said, he would not be getting a child from my agency.

Okay, I think there has been enough speculation on big chris' ability to parent based on his ability to keep snakes. Can we tone it down a bit, please?

Well, I never been to his house . I don't know if he has a good job and I can't look into his eyes.

But I hope the adoption agency does their job.

Not to mention but it's kind of like....

"Hey I came on here and wanted to know if my biggest corn can eat it's cagemates. Yes, I keep 3 together. Oh, you said he can do it and that I should seperate them. Oh you showed me pictures of cornsnakes eating each other. Oh some of you had cornsnakes die because you kept them together. Oh, well, I think I will keep them together anyway, no matter what you told me. No matter what has happened to yours, I think mine are just fine together. No no no I will not listen to you. You are all wrong, and I am right".

Then less than a month later he starts THIS thread...

Oh, now I need help with THIS problem. Please help me. I need to know what to do so I can adopt.

It's like, he wants to listen to what we have to say NOW??
Obviously he thinks we know absolutely nothing about cornsnakes, so why all of a sudden are we experts on what an agency would be looking for in an adoptive parent?
