Amel or hypo

Tiffycj

Western Corns
This little guy was sold to a friend of mine as a sunkissed hypo for $108

I honestly think he looks amel…and no sunkissed. But I'm also a noob... This was the best picture they had posted. Opinions?

It does look like an Amel, and I agree that there does not appear to be any Sunkissed.
I'm sorry that your friend paid so much.

What does the belly look like? I don't see hypo or sunkissed, but maybe an amel motley if the belly has no checkers. If it does have checkers, I'd say it's an amel.

"plain" Amel.
Nothing plain about them though, still one of the better looking morphs... and not just in corns. Breeders have been trying to aim at reds like these in Boas and BP's for ages, and really... without any sort of success.

I don't know if there's checks or not, that's the best pic :)

Yeah, amels are still very pretty. But there's breeders here selling amels for a much more reasonable price. He got it from petland, but I've since told him the difference between breeders and pet stores ;) they love this little guy though, and for someone who doesn't plan on breeding, it's not too bad. But it bothers people like me haha

Thanks for your input!

Not that it makes him any more valuable, but he is likely het caramel with that yellow tone. Back when butters were new and expensive, people had pretty good odds picking the pos hets that looked like him.
