Dune finally shed and I got some half decent shots of him. He doesn't like to sit still for long and he'll wrap around you and tie himself in knots. Cool animal though. If you stare at the photo of him with part of his tail showing it almost looks like it moves....far out maaaannn!

Really a beautiful snake. Reminds me of cribos somewhat too. I always hear of FWC compared with indigos, can't remember what it was though. Is it their feeding response?
 
He is gorgeous. There's something about his head that amazes me, the way his head and scales are shaped is so prehistoric looking.
 
They are pretty primitive. Obviously an old world snake. Large scales on he head, fixed rear fang with a primitive venom delivery. I'll bet it's the feeding response. These guys are well....er....killer feeders. They will come out of the enclosure for food and they don't just take the rat and swallow it...they beat it to death all the way down. Pretty funny to watch actually.

Great looking snake, Meg! Absolutely gorgeous! I've seen a few of these guys around... I don't know, but they seem quite intimidating to me! LOL. Perhaps its just the "cobra" name.
 
Well genetically, he's super hypo. Almost no black.
Fred: This guy can be a bit intimidating. He acts like he's going to do something, but he doesn't. I tend to get him out with a hook and use tongs to get him out of the feeder enclosure. Cleaning his cage, he'll come out at you thinking there's food coming. The female is very docile though and for the most part they are neat to handle.
 
Except he has no black compared to an anery. His pattern is reduced to very little black compared to the normal FWC or even the female.
 
He is wildly different in colour to normal falsies. I wonder why the hypo gene takes away the natural sort of olive colouration? Like you said, it is the lack of melanin. He sure is a looker.
 
You know, I was holding one of these yesterday, but it looked nowhere near as nice as yours does.. SUch a beautiful snake :)
 
The super hypos are relatively rare. There's only one other breeder who has them in California. This guy has some beautiful golden coloration where the brown normally is. It's hard to catch in photos though.
 
He is from a breeder in California. The female is a cb animal from Glade Herps.
