This is the newest addition to my family. I think I'll name her Lyla or Lilac. I found her listed this morning then decided to call early afternoon. her mommy was highly allergic and heartbroken but felt it was for the best. She has all shots except rabies, she still needs to ba spayed but came with her papers(no breeding rights)She is a seal point persian(flat faced himalayan). And the real kicker is she was only asking $50 so her new mommy would still be able to afford the spaying and rabies. Well heres the long overdue photo:

What a gorgeous cat!

So glad the two of you found each other! I got my last kitty from Craigslist, too, last June. And I am really happy with her! And that is where I will look for another one if I decide I need another one.

Enjoy the little furball!

Thanks so much everyone. I had gotten a persian kitten last year but she died from what we believe was a hereditary disease. This time I'm hoping it won't go as badly.
Does anyone have any suggestions for her claws? She kneads at everything and I really don't want to go the declawing route but it's difficult to even hold her because when she kneads you to show her love it pierces right through my clothes.

Some cats outgrow the kneading. My little girl was like that when I first got her - kneading on everything and everyone. Now she only does it on my blankets or PJ's (when they are not on).
However, of course, some don't outgrow it. You can try keeping her nails trimmed (either with clippers or that new pedi-paws - which I haven't tried yet). Or they do sell little plastic nail covers - but I have never tried those either.
