Just thought I would find out who might be coming to the 3rd annual Austin Reptile and Amphibian Expo on August 26th & 27th? Just curious, so I would know who I might just be able to finally meet in person. For now I know that "pcar" is vending and I believe that "CARattler40" is coming up. I know there is one more person in New Braunfels "Fatman608" and a few in the Austin area. Just wondering........... :shrugs:

:nope:
Unfortunately, I can't make it. There was a chance I'd be in Austin this weekend, but apparently we're not planning on heading up. :shrugs:

So...who ended up going to the Houston one in the end? I was there today. It was quite a nice experience.

i just talked to paul (pcar) on the phone and he was on his way home from vending there. i had to work so i couldn't make it like i wanted to. hope to hear some stories and see pics if available.

well..........it's back again on november 11-12. just checking to see if anyone knew if they would be coming to this one or not. :shrugs: i have talked to paul (pcar) and he will be going, just thought i would check with some others. would be nice to meet some in person. i think that there are only about 5-6 on the forum that would live even close enough to try and make it.

I might, depends on what/who all will be there; the website doesn't really give much information...

i figured you would usually go to the one in arlingtion (they have like 3 at each location every year). i do know from the last three i have been to you could expect Don Shores....shoresenuffsnakes, Glades Herp, Brazos Valley Reptiles to name a few. Now, the only drawback is there is about 75% of the vendors that are HOT, so the only reason i go is because of the few colubrid vendors and it is only about a 15 minute drive for me.......and any expo is better than no expo. keep in touch if you are coming anyway, we might have to "talk" winter (blizzard) before you get here.

Well I haven't been able to go to any of the Arlington shows b/c of life, and I haven't gotten to go to a show this year; plus I could make a weekend trip out of it down to San Antonio. What do you meant hat 75% of the vendors are HOT? Never heard that one before.

HOT=venomous.........there is still plenty of other stuff to look at and i don't mind checking out some of the pit vipers/rattlers/adders/etc......it just leaves alot less for me to buy (which could be why i like it) :grin01:

Yea, the show in Live Oak is one of the largest Venemous shows in Texas. Live Oak seems to be the only area that will allow venemous to be sold in public.

I will be going to meet up with a few people and to spend some time looking. Don't really expect to pick up anything, but when i go to shows, I never know. Hope to see those of you coming there.

Oh, well if most of it is venomous stuff, prob wouldn't be worth the drive. That sucks; guess I'll just have to wait for another on over in arlington or for a better one somewhere else. *sigh*

There's a lot of Venemous there, but there are a lot of people there with non venemous stuff too. but I know the drive is killer coming from Arlington. Don Shores will be there, as well as Brazos valley Reptiles, and I am sure that San Antonio Snake house will be there, and these three have some great selections of Colubrids, boas, and pythons.
