Its starting to get pretty hot where i live and i had to turn off all heating for my snakes tank. Even with everything off the tank its still hitting 95 degrees. We just moved in and dont get our ac installed for another 2 weeks so thats not an option. I put a large fan near the tank and it lowered temp a degree or 2, anyone figured out an other ways to cool down a terrarium?

Is a window unit an option? They aren't cheap new, but perhaps Craigslist?

I would say try taping an ice pack to the back of the tank, it might create some cool air? But if your house is around 95 degrees I dont even think that would do much good!
Plus ice and snakes i dont think is a good mix.
If you cant really do anything just keep his water dish cold, that pertains alot of work, but then everytime your snake gets too hot, he may sit in his water bowl cool down and then slink back out.

Big water bowls and put the tank down on the floor, maybe in a closet that doesn't heat up.
