Artist Needed for Club Logo! (repost)

K. Rene

Cozmic Cornz
This thread got deleted with a bunch of others due to a currpted database so I am reposting it.

I am starting a Reptile 4H Club and I am in need of an awesome club logo. I however am not a great illustrator so I would love some assistance from my fellow reptile lovers. Bellow is my idea for the logo, (please don't comment on my artisitc skills, 'tis why I need help!) I would like the "O" in coils to be a ball python and the S to be a corn snake, then the C in claws could be the tail of a Lizard (beardie, iguana) and the W could be the pad of a gecko foot or some other reptilians claw print. Use whatever medium you'd like then upload a pic here or email it to me at [email protected].

Several of you mentioned your interest before and I would love to see what you all will come up with. Whoever the artist is of the logo we like best will get a club t-shirt with the logo on it. Thank you all for your help!

K. Rene

Sounds fun!

I'm an artist as a job and hobby wanting to go professional so this would be a fun oppertunity. I'll see what I come up with ;).

You could just have your name in normal print, but add the 4-H clover at the end. Instead of it actually being a clover have 4 snakes coiled around like the leaves with little turtles inside each one and each turtle has an H on its shell. The stalk of the clover could be an iguana. You could even put a ball python in the middle for good measure?

Thanks for the bump Jason.

Thanks for the idea. The 4H organization is pretty strict when it comes to the clover logo symbol so I'm not sure I could do what your suggesting but I'll be sure to ask about it ;)

if oyur going to make this an official club then the 4-H club will probably be a little upset. but if its a clover in the shape of snakes and turtles then they really cant do anything... your club logo is snakes not a clover....

might sound girly but how bout a peace love snakes kinda thing?

snakes shaped like a heart? or a star with your four "H's" inside with snakes behind it giving it the tail so it has the appearence to be shooting? idk im kind of staying with good luck symbols i guess....

good luck with it thoough

Any kind of deadline? Also you mentioned shirts are you just wanting a single color easy to print "line work" kinda thing? Or do you want a detailed full color logo?

Sorry for the double post but just thought of an option if you know where you are taking your printing business contact them to find out their capabilities then add your printers guidelines. I promise I'm not trying to over complicate your request, I have just seem some great design work get wasted because it simply wasn't in a style/format the printers could handle or the printers "in house" guy tweaks it to make it usable and the design looses its charm in translation.

I can see what I can do to help if you like. I did my siggie art...but I need to know where you plan on having it printed into Tshirts. If it's just something like cafepress then I have no problem...but if it's an actual printer I need to know what type of format they would need and what size. Shoot me a PM.

Thanks for everyone wanting to help, sorry I haven't posted sooner, been busy with school.

I'm still waiting to hear back from the 4H office to know if I have been accepted as a club leader, it's been over a month! Not sure what's taking so long.

I haven't chosen a printer for shirts yet, as I am fairly new to the area, I'm hoping that some of the parents will have some ideas once we get meetings going. I would like to have the logo printed on the back of the shirts so it can be fairly large, but I don't think intricate details are necessary. I'd really just like to see what people can do with my original idea, then we'll just have to find a printer than can meet our needs.

Wow Jason, you are quite nosy and rather rude to put it bluntly.

But yes I was a member of a 4H club for 6 yrs and was involved in the club before I was even old enough to be a member because of my older siblings. So I know what clubs do and I assure you I am well qualified for the position if that's what your worried about, but thank you for your concern on why they haven't gotten back to me yet. Now if you have no artwork to contribute I suggest you refrain from commenting. Thanks.

i can be rather rude if you wouldl ike because i have a few statements to say in reply to what you said to me. as i was not trying to come off rude or snide and i wasn't trying to be nosy. it was a pure fact of there are people out in the world who think they are better than everyone else and dont need to be apart of the club before becoming a leader. i didnt know you were a previous member now did i? so in return to my comment you came off rude... and i may comment if i wish without posting a drawing. how would you know i didnt have anything drawn? i could type page beyond page telling you about your attitude. i was not trying to be rude and i wasnt being nosy.. i dont know where you got any of that from. but for being curious i asked. and your answer was rather rude. if i was implying rudeness in my comment, trust me you would know it. thats all i have to say. i will apologize though for your misunderstanding what i exactly meant.
