I got some money for my birthday this month (Dec. 10) so I just ordered my first Red-tail boa! I am so excited! My boyfriend's going to be mad hehe :grin01: But I got a good deal on him.... I didn't want to spend all kinds of money on something I'm just testing the waters with. I have been looking and LOOKING through ads...all the "homo some morph, het 5 other morphs, possibly het 10 other morphs...." or "locality1 X locality2 X species3..." I just want a normal!!! :sidestep: Now I know what people who want JUST A CORN SNAKE go through LOL!
But anyways, I got a normal Columbian male. I can't post a pic yet, but he's on this site...

scroll down to M1M5 (definately needs a new name! :crazy02: ) He's got great color for his price, compared to all the other ads I looked at. I don't really understand what's "desirable" and not in red-tails yet....as far as the higher and lower prices...but he's "desirable" to me
and he'll help me learn.
Any suggestions on what to expect from boa owners? I've been doing research of course, but there's always things you don't realize until you have it. Only snakes I've ever had are corns. I know, it will hurt much more when he bites
but that's fine. Hopefully if I get him used to me enough, he won't. I have a feeling this little guy is going to be BABIED
