A couple of my brachys molted so I figured I'd snap a few pics

This is Bertha, my pride and joy. I found her on craigslist for $40. Molted a couple days ago, around 5" now.

Then there is Dutchess, she molted last night and still looks rubbery.

Pyro, my terrible hair kicker.

This little one won't get a name until I know the gender.

They're all beautiful! I used to have a boehmei and a smithi... but had to get out of the hobby for personal reasons. I still miss them!!!

Yours are BEAUTIFUL! Colors are coming out very nicely.

I've never kept spiders, so I just had to ask. How does one sex a spider?

When a female spider molts, the lining of the uterus is also shed, it looks like a little flap on the inside of the shed skin. There are very small differences in the shape of the furrow (outside sexual opening) but its not a reliable method.

Thanks I never handle these ones, I could hold bertha but I choose not to. Not only am I a sissy but I'm afraid one would get hurt.
