Sometimes, you just gotta put the chores aside and get out there to play with the kids. It’s not about doing anything constructive, or trying to accomplish something. You let the kids be kids, and somehwere, somehow, deep inside your soul, you feel something of your own kid waking up to laugh with them…

Up, Up, and Away!!

It took probably 15-20 shots with each kid before the timing, framing, lighting, and composition all came together with both of them. I hope you enjoyed them. I know we did!!

Just as a matter of clarification, this is all done "in camera", and not through photoshop filters or tricks. This is me with my camera strapped to my midsection, swinging the kids by their hands with a delayed shutter release, and second-curtain flash. My back hurts but...it was worth it!
 
I hope you (and the kids) cherish those photos- they are absolutely wonderful (and worth a sore back ;))
