belly scales have wrinkes?

I noticed my corn seems to have a big wrinkle down the middle of her belly. My camera is being repaired by canon so I can get some photos when it comes back.I just dont remember seeing pictures of anybody else's corn having wrinkles. They seem to occur only on a 3rd of her scales in her midsection on her belly scales. They "wrinkle" towards her head and tail.

I think I know what 'wrinkle' you're talking about, like a faint line running down the middle of the belly scales, but I wouldn't describe it as 'wrinkles'...as there's only one very neat fine line that can only be described as a light indentation. I've also not noticed it in any pictures really, but I think it's normal. I wouldn't worry too much. Have you got pics?

I've never seen a big "wrinkle", but I've seen small ones that spanned several belly scales. I've seen this on two different snakes:

1. Snake was temporarily on an unregulated, but monitored heat pad. Well, my monitoring got sloppy, and the temps spiked. I returned the snake to a thremostat-regulated rack, and the problem disappeared after the snake's next shed.

2. Tried using Care-Fresh paper bedding in one of my tubs. The stuff seemed to suck the moisture out of everything, including the snake. I returned to aspen substrate, and the problem disappeared after the snake's next shed.

It wouldn't surprise me if your problem was humidity and/or temp related too. Hope this helps.

Well, its not a permenant wrinkle. Very wrinkle-esque though. Its like a line that looks like a wrinkle but it is not usually a wrinkle you can feel with your fingers. Just a visible line that if it were on your shirt, you would say its a wrinkle. Ill have to get some pictures. My camera should be back to me in a week. $95.00 repair :puke01:

Humidity might make sense. I tend to spray her with spring water whenever she blues but the last blue occurred when I was out of town for a week. Tail and eyecaps were there so I didn't think anything of it.

I know what you mean. My blue beauty had it for several sheds, not 100% sure but I think it has dissappeared. When I first had her, humidity was too low, but it is ok cause her sheds are perfect now. Maybe it had to do with it indeed. At the other hand, I thought it might just have been form slithering over something with a blunt but narrow piece sticking out, like on a branch.

I think they are just part of her.
