I'm looking into getting some snake racks, i'm not really sure what i want, but if you know of any dealers or have + or - experiene with vendors please share! Thanks, Lacie

I have heard good things about nature's spirit ones. I'm considering the reptile basics racks that's advertised on this site for my next one.
Lots of people will tell you just build your own.
I have had a negative experience with boaphile racks...not escape proof
that's my .02 anyway

Well I'm a "rack newbie", meaning I've just recently got my first rack. I got it for Christmas from Reptile Basics, a hatchling rack. But so far, I wish I had the money for more.

It's a decent price for what you get, imho. Its well built and holds Iris tubs, which are by far the best on the market. They're clear, roomy, and easy to clean. http://www.reptilebasics.com/store/home.php

A lot of people around here have and highly recommend Animal Plastics, but the hinderence there is expense. They aren't cheap. But I guess you get what you pay for sometimes. http://www.animalplastics.com/

Boaphile Plastics has racks as well, but again, not cheap. http://www.boaphileplastics.com/

Its such a small market and so many people are willing to pay, the prices are quite a bit higher than normally they would be for the materials and labour.

A lot of people on here build their own out of melamine/wood which may save on the cost if you're experienced enough to do so. So you might look around for plans and ideas.

Make sure to do a search for "rack", you're sure to turn up a BUNCH of results.

I got my first rack from my boyfriend for Christmas - it was one of the Animal Plastics racks (one to hold juvies/adults). It was the Iris version which I like so much better than any of the Sterilites that I have. It was expensive but we're already saving up for our next one. Came with heat and I got a Helix thermostat as well which is a must (well...the thermostat part anyway) with any rack system. I think it was well worth the money. Jonathan ordered it on Tuesday, it shipped Wednesday and arrived Saturday even though they told him it would be a two week wait.
