DeadMouse
Hungry, hungry Hognose!
I also posted this in my birthday thread but thought these little guys deserved a thread all their own. Sorry for the double posting of this...
So far my birthday has started off most excellent with the hatching of some "special" birthday hoggies. These are special because they are a double het Pink Pastel x Axanthic project I am going to try and prove out. As far as I know, nobody has so far tried doing this, or if they have, they have not published it online (as far as I have seen). At least, none of the big time breeders I have talked to know anything about such a project. So hopefully it will prove interesting.
Actually, these starting pipping on the 13th and just stuck their heads out all day on the 14th. This morning one actually decided to leave the egg but I didn't want to freak it out any further by taking anymore pictures. But here's some I took while they were just sitting in their eggs yesterday.
Baby #1
Baby #2
Hopefully the other 2 eggs will hatch any day. One egg is very small and looks very questionable whether it will hatch or not, but it's shown embryonic development while being candled, so there's hope for it. The other egg was actually the largest out of the clutch, so hopefully I'll get a really big and fat baby out of it or if I'm extremely lucky, twins. Wish me and the little babies lotsa luck!
