Only slightly crazy...
Okay so no joke, this happened to me on Monday afternoon as I got home from school.
So, my story will begin as I get to my front door after an exhausting day of school, I let my small dog Panda out to pee in the front yard. She tinkles in the grass right near the door, and as I'm just gazing around taking in the beautiful green grass, this dark long shape catches my eye.
One tenth of a second later, my heart stops and I realize it's two black racers tangled around each other doing the deed, in plain sight. And they are only 4 feet away from me, right THERE! I freak out, rush the dog inside, and bolt to my room, grab my camera, and quietly go back outside.
As my camera is focusing, leaning as far as I can to avoid getting to close, one of the flees. I just as a "no don't go!" motion, the second one flees right after the first. So, their retreat is in the shrubs in the front of my house, and I'm chasing them both around, waving my arms like a freak trying to keep them from getting away. I figure, if they at least get pissed and try to strike, I can still get at least one picture from them.
So, the first one i was following disappeared. Then I found the second, under a bush, and grab a hold of him and just for fun, put him in a tiny plastic cage. Later, after a quick rainstorm passes, I took him outside to set him free and got plenty of fun cobra pics of his feisty attitude.
Anyway, here are some pics and I hope you all enjoy!
This was definitely an amazing experience! I mean, who honestly has had snakes making babies at their front door?
Tongue Shot
Pissed off "I keel you!" Face
