I have never seen them in this color before..I was going to keep it but I scared it and he/she flew away....so sad..the photos do not do this bugs colors any justice..but I had to get something..
Have any of you guys seen them in this color before, and if you have pics to share I'd love to see 'em..as long as they are true and not altered.
Thanks so much guys..

Oh BTW..it was Dusk, and overcast..as it rained for a while so the Macro was not working as well as it could..
sorry

Awesome looking lady bug! I've never seen anything like that up here. So glad you got pics of it before it decided to fly away!

Yeah..It was kinda lucky to find it..I was taking pics of some other bugs that were around and I found him/her by accident.
Just thought it was pretty cool..thanks for looking!

Manda, I would love it if you were to catch a dozen of those and send them to me. That is really interesting. Was it really blue or could it have been gray?

Sure..If I ever find another one..I will be looking for you..would you like them alive..or dead..does it matter..I can't promise one way or another hahaha..
But yeah..it really was a Bluish color..I wouldn't say grey..it was more of a slate to a baby blue..it was cool.I tried to find it again later on that evening..but no such luck.
I'll keep looking..

If you don't grow up with a box of Crayola, you might not know Blue from Gray. That being said, I've not seen many Lavender corn snakes that were not Puice.

I've seen some pretty odd one's too around. The kids brought in one that was all black with red spots. I've seen them bright yellow with red spots too.:shrugs:

Think when they imported ladybugs to take care of whatever they where brought in to do mated with our normal bugs and created new color morphs?? Maybe they are some sort of radioactive super lady that is going to take our brains over??? J/K

I wonder though how this will effect the odd lady bugs we see now or if anyone cares or thought about it.:shrugs: You know they were brought in to do one thing but now will destroy another like a certain tree or plant???

Pretty cool though.

The ladybugs of different colors and patterns are completely different species and don’t hybridize. As a group they all eat aphids and are considered the most beneficial beetle we have. They are not likely to cause any problems.
