Buf v.s Toffee

Ok, so I now think I could tell an adult toffee from an adult caramel, I like the rich brown tones. But I'm not sure I've seen an adult buf, is buf = kastanie?

Normal Blood vs. Toffee Blood out of the same clutch.

First pic: left Toffee, right normal
Second pic: both toffee

Here is a photo of the father:

And a pic of the Toffee Bloodred '11:

This one looks like a Normal to you?

Here you can see the progression of Bennis last year Toffee Blood:

Now that I am home on my own computer and not using the one at work, I can see a difference between these 2 now, the toffee having more yellow.

And as an adult, there is a definite different look to the toffee. Toffee and Auratum line, originally thought to be caramels, but definitely not, are the same thing and I really like the look.

And thanks for clarifying that the first pair of photos you posted (post 13) are indeed of a toffee and a normal, not of a toffee and a buf as I assumed it was considering the thread and the group of images Jan posted is about the similarities between buf and toffee and the possibly of them being the same morph. The hatchling Jan says is a toffee does NOT look like the toffee hatchling(s) you have posted, but instead looks like a normal...unless I have them mixed up and it's the buf that looks like a normal! But in either case...NOT the same morph!

It might help to look through Jan's book too.
The Buf is clearly very phenotypically diverse depending upon the hets. His original looks very similar to the adult toffee; just with more black bordering.

I'm not saying they are, or that they are not the same. I just don't want to see jumping to conclusions based on a few past pictures from very few specimen.

What are the chances of two dominant traits appearing in relatively the same area which appear very similar?

Hi!

This pair Jan got from me over a ghostbuyer.]
Hi Thorsten
To call the one who buys this snake from you ghostbuyer is not correct, i don't have theese animals.Michael & Anja are two snakelovers and Michael order the snakes from you, just for themself, and didn't used false names ore whatever.
They have buf in there stock from me,and want to have toffee to,just to see what happen if they breed toffee agains buf in maybee 2013-2014.Whe talk about it, and my opinion was, there are adults for testbreeding and when we want we can do it in 2011-2012.And i reseved two adults buf ore orange for it, i set a adv on a forum to buy adults Toffee, but got no answer from your site.
And your site means the 4 ore 5 breeders who have Toffee in stock, and i get the feeling you don't want a testbreeding.
My opinion is the hole buf and toffee story goes out off proporsion, and building two sites, and that is not good for the snakecomunitie.
I discused Buf for more than 10 years now , and did my own thing, there are people who say do this and do that, and after doing that and prove they are wrong about there statmens, they don't respons anymore, and they must be ashamed for that.
Now you can walk the same road, ore be strong together and prove things, but the ball is on your site ( the toffee breeders ).I've heard your are sending toffee to amerika to do a testbreeding, why if you have the possibility to do it just around the corner ?????? And agains what, and when?????

Dónt forget i am a hobby breeder, who is breeding snakes for the cick and the fun, and i have the luck to find a new gene, and i don't have to prove anything. What i want is to make new things, and like to extend the colourrange from cornsnakes, as i did in parrakeets. And if buf is not toffee ore vice versa , ok thats good for the comunitie, to extend the colourrange.

And iff you have anything agains me OK, ore exclude me in other forums OK,but do not involve Anja and Michael into this, just becouse they want to have toffee.

ps .What i ment by shopt ,was the first pic is to bright, and didn't show the realitie, but don't forget they are pictures.

Hi
At long last there is someone who used his brain, and not only his eyes .

What are the chances of two dominant traits appearing in relatively the same area which appear very similar?
...?...%

How does a buf ore toffee breeder selected the gene from the not gene when they are born ??
Not the overal colour, but the yellow-orange saddles the gene expres, and the normals has red saddles.

How do they look after one year ore two?????
Depens on the line they used. ( i can let you see if you want , from a lavender, phantum, hypo, ore caramel line )

What happens if i bred a different gene into Buf ore Toffee ???
When i used Amel the same.
pic 1 Auratum ( amel-toffee )
pic 2 Orange ( amel-buf )
When i used anery the same
Pic 3 Discribed as a anery-toffee
Pic 4 Anery-buf
When i used ultramel the same ,
i've seen them but don't have a picture jet, only my own.
