Butter Corn Question

bc_reptiles

Breeders and Outfitters
I think I remember reading somewhere awhile back that it takes not only carmel and amel to make a butter, it also takes anery? Is this true? If so, I can breed my anery to my butter and get all anery babies? That part doesn't seem right to me.

I think I may have got a hold of some bad info????

Thanks for the help,
Brian Miller

Yup, bad info somewhere. A butter is an amelanistic caramel. If you bred a butter to an aneryth, and neither is het for anything, the offspring will all be normal triple het for amel, aneryth (aka - snow) and caramel.

Yes, Susan is correct. Seems to me I saw that incorrect info posted on someone's site not too long ago.
