Bying frozen mice/rats online?

I was wondering if anyone has any experience ordering frozen mice and rats online? If so what websites have you used and how was the customer service, shipping speed, prices, etc. I need the mice for my corns and the rats for my ball python.
Thanks in advance
Ashley

I have ordered from mice direct and have had a good experience from using them. Thier mice look good and my corns have had no problem eating them. They run about the same price as thier competitors but shpping will be a little cheaper as they are located in Georgia.

I've ordered from Rodent Pro & Layne Labs. Layne Labs is far superior to Rodent Pro. Sure, in high quantities, RP is less expensive, but it can take two weeks to ge your order, depending on when you place the order.
LL has higher quality mice, you get the order much sooner than RP, & their customer service is fabulous!

LL is in CA, & if you can find a good supplier closer to you, I'd recommend that, because shipping will be less expensive from a closer source.

I've had very good experiences with The Mouse Factory and they are reasonably priced.

Big Cheese Rodent Factory
Rodent Pro
Mice Direct
Gourmet Rodent
The Mouse Factory
Layne Labs

This are all good places to buy from and the quality will be the same. Some are a little dirtier than other places but when you thaw them out in warm water they come clean.

Some you can get quotes on line some you will have to call to get a quote. Just remember that the price of the product is not the total price.

Product + Shipping = Total Price

We live in central Florida

Since shipping costs would be a factor in total cost to you, I know that Loxahatchee Rodents, who are located in FL, have excellent quality rodents and their shipping prices to you may be better due to how close they are to you.

I primarily use Big Cheese Rodents and American Rodent Supply.

American Rodent Supply has free shipping on orders over $100 I believe. I haven't actually received anything shipped from them since my husband works near there, but my snakes eat their mice fine, and they looked clean to me, but I haven't ordered much yet, since I haven't had snakes long.

Remember to check out the BOI on the different suppliers on Fauna as well. Quite a few of those mentioned have posts there.

Yeah the shipping def puts me off. I don't have enough freezer space to justify an order large enough to offset the cost of shipping.

ahh good ol Leesburg. I had many of fishing tourneys in that area. John actually lives on the North side of Tampa Bay Bucks Stadium(Raymond James Stadium). Thats a pretty good haul. But who says you couldn't make a beach trip and all him in advance for a pick up. He just likes a little notice. But is real easy to work with.

Well you pinned us, lol. I will bookmark the site next time we are down in Tampa. It's not that far away. We usually go to Tampa or Orlando for concerts and shows and stuff. Most people around here just breed their own mice, but they will freeze them for you if you ask, but there still isn't much of a price difference, so we have been buying the frozen ones from petsmart.

i personally like layne labs, that was formentioned in this post. its a few cents more than rodentpro, but of course the more you buy, the cheaper. but what i personally liked about this site is you can order as little as feeders, or as many as 1000+. good for us who dont have the vast collection some others who order online do. so i order about once/twice a year so far. also they have 2 day delivery when ordered monday -wed @ noon. when i got my package it was still frozen. no mice brick in my bags however, but very neatly arms tucked away prestine little mice. also, rodentpro is in my home state, and layne labs, delivering all the way from cali to my state of indiana, had a cheaper 2 day delivery than the 5-7 days at rodentpro only 2-3 hours away from me. i didnt order mon-wed noon, and still got my order in 4-5 days.
