It DOES kinda look like a whipsnake... check out the "braiding" at the tail...

Are there any pictures of the eyes??? THAT would tell me. I've been catching coachwhips here pretty regularly. LOL.


Edit: Nahhh... Just checked out some pics... Not sure anymore. LOL.
 
And out of all the SC snakes that our out there it fits the best. Now who says this isnt a morph or an unusual marked snake? Heck, have you seen Chris's longnose??

If you re read the first post turns out the snake was found in CA. It in no way looks like a queen snake. The scales look smooth not keeled. The body shape is not designed for swiming.
 
David, that was when I didn't know where the snake was found, and assumed it was local to the guy who posted it.
 
Looks like one of the few Whips that are around.. Much like the Alameda Whip that Freed posted.. I don;t have these guys in my area, I have the Red Racer... ( I swear i need to get gallses soon )...
