Candoia collection update!

Beautiful snakes! I love their oddly cute shaped heads. And Burton is definitely my favorite of the bunch, followed closely by Minerva Rhedd. Lovely, lovely colors!

I'm glad to to your babies are doing well especially Lunar Dawn. They are all stuning I can't even pick a favorite.

I have a couple questions about your Candoia Carinata, how often do you feed yours and about how much do yours weigh?

Thanks :) I adore Burtons black moody colours too.

Thanks lass :)

I feed the carinata how ever often they will feed LOL. Now that I know they will eat when offered, I am feeding once a week for the girls and Wolfie to help them gain weight, and once every 2-3 weeks for Obsidian since he is a big chunky adult male and will always reliably eat.

As for weight I'm not sure. I last weighed them when they were dangerously underweight. So I will get some updated weights for you at some point :)

How are your lot getting on?

Great pictures Elle, thanks for sharing. In that picture of Lunar Dawn, I couldn’t tell what that was she had just given birth to, it must have been painful.

Ceramic hides tend to stretch a bit when they come out.... Ouch.

(I didn't fancy posting the horrific pictures of dead and rotting baby boas)

Minerva is still my favorite. I'm so glad she is finally feeling better! And Burton!! He needs a dedicated photoshoot some day!!

He is almost impossible to photograph unless he has something in his mouth to keep it away from my fingers. He is a wee devil! :devil01: But a drop dead gorgeous one at that ;)

Thanks :)

My females are doing well and I offer them food every week and they gobble them up but the male has yet to eat. My first female weighs 60g and the other female and male are 45g. They all just had their first sheds with me which was very exciting.

Oh well Lunar was 102 grams when gravid, but she was extremely thin at the time. She had terrible muscle mass and you could feel every rib. She didn't even look gravid yet had 5 big babies inside her. Lyra was 90 grams in October, and has since put on a good bit of weight. I'll get updates tonight :)

Wolfie was only 25 grams at his lightest, he is now up to 33 and looking a lot better :) Obsidian is 46 grams, and is a chunky big male.

These guys don't do anything in a hurry, especially put on weight. BTW don't expect your guys to shed for another 3 - 4 months LOL.
