caramel mot het stripe to lavender stripe?

hey guys,
just out of curiosity, what would be the result of breeding my male caramel motley het stripe to my female lavender stripe?

oh that sounds good, would you say that that would be a better breeding than my snow stripe to the lavender female?

If you did the snow stripe/lav stripe you would get 100% stripes het for anery, lavender, amel. I think this would be pretty awesome mostly because I am a sucker for anery lavs and a stripe anery lav in the F2 would be pretty cool (if the odds are in your favor). Of course thats several years away because you would have to wait for your keeper pair of stripes to grow before breeding them. Lots of possibilities with this clutch.

corncalc.com says this about the offspring if you bred them

Male: Stripe het Amel, Anery, Lavender

Female: Stripe het Amel, Anery, Lavender

Phenotype:
27 / 64 Stripe 66% poss het. Lavender, Anery, Amel
9 / 64 Lavender, Stripe 66% poss het. Anery, Amel
9 / 64 Anery, Stripe 66% poss het. Lavender, Amel
9 / 64 Amel, Stripe 66% poss het. Lavender, Anery
3 / 64 Opal, Stripe ( Amel, Lavender, Stripe ) 66% poss het. Anery
3 / 64 Snow, Stripe ( Amel, Anery, Stripe ) 66% poss het. Lavender
3 / 64 Anery Lavender, Stripe ( Anery, Lavender, Stripe ) 66% poss het. Amel
1 / 64 Snopal, Stripe ( Amel, Anery, Lavender, Stripe )

ye that was my initial plan to breed the snow striper to her but i have been putting him in with her ad he just isnt getting the job done! he twitches like CRAZY but thats about it, he stays close to her but shows no signs of trying to hook up to her. were as my carmot stripe male has already been breeding and is very keen. The lav female is practically inviting my snow stripe to get it done, lifting her tail and making it easy but he hasnt delivered the goods as of yet.
which is the reason i was considering putting my carmot male in with her instead. Il persist for now with the snow stripe but if he carries on i may have to consider the alternate male.

100% normal motley/stripes het for caramel, lavender.

Actually, a caramel motley/stripe (or motley het stripe = one motley gene and one stripe gene) X a lavender stripe will result in 50% normal motley/stripe (one motley gene one stripe gene) het caramel lavender and 50% normal stripes het caramel lavender

Gotcha. I figured I was off but that corn calc program wont let you do motley het stripe so I kinda winged it. That stripe/motley thing always confuses me :p

he's suffering from performance anxiety!! Happens to the best of us...just keep putting them together...he'll get past it.

haha ye i suppose, i have fed the female today so hes going to get a couple of days off so maybe when he gets back with her he might have missed her enough to show it !

I would leave him with her until the female is obviously gravid. This mrthod works well when using a male for only 1 mating. Sometimes feeding can spark mating too.
