Congrats on a great caramel tessera, I have his brother and he is a real pig. Good luck keeping up with the pinkies for that guy. :)
John

You know, I just realized I've been misspelling Tessera all day long because my spell check has got it into its little electronic brain that that is how it's spelled, nice!

Yeah, he seems to be settling in nicely. I already love him. Thanks again for him!

That snake sure has ALOT of red on it to be a Caramel....just sayin :shrugs:
Nice looking either way.

:crazy02:BOUT' CORNS !!

I was thinkin the same thing. I'm on my laptop so maybe it's just my old eyes playin tricks. Congrats on your pickup.

You know, I can't really tell either. He was given to me as a probable caramel and I don't really care either way. Sometimes I look at the pictures and see a lot of red and then I look and see a lot of rich brown, not sure how color blind I am! I don't think he really looks that red in person but I only held him for a few minutes.

Either way he is going to be a looker and a genetic power house. I can't remember if I have ever seen him in person. Not to hijack your thread but here is his brother, a striped caramel tessera het amel.

Beautiful, no doubt.

Is that the only thing that anybody sees that is perhaps different about this corn snake? Are there pictures of the parents available?

As the the guy who produced that snake, I have to say that it looks very classically colored now that it has shed a couple times. I did initially think it was a caramel at first, but I floundered a bit on that. I passed those thoughts on to Lars when I sent him the snake.

Joe, the parents were sibling tesseras het caramel, motley. They were produced by Don. I don't have photos of them on this computer.

6 eggs went the distance. I got 2 classic males ph caramel, motley, 1 male motley ph caramel, 1 caramel tessera male, and 2 classic tessera males. No females.

Here are the tesseras. The third tessera is the one in this thread. Sadly, I don't have photos of the classics other than these where they are in their first sheds.

Actually, I asked Don and his thought was that it was a normal too. What are you referring to, anything else different?

He is gorgeous! I love his attitude too. Just weighed him today and he is 9 grams. I do believe he is the youngest and smallest corn snake I've had so far, that's taking some getting used to!
