Considering a Blood Python.

Those are bike shorts- look at the gloves, too!

Lol.. I know.. Still makes me laugh!

David,

I'm actually going to have to side with Jim on this one and I don't think he was being rude. He was just explaining to you that there is are very, VERY few high school classes out there that are as difficult as college even if they are labeled the same and are given the same amount of credit. I slept through AP Cal I and Cal II in high school and still decided to take them in college as a refresher thinking they would be easy and barely made B's in both. Physics in high school was an absolute joke for me, physics in college was one of the most difficult classes I have had to take (of course the guy I took it from is now not allowed to teach it and was moved to the masters courses ONLY teaching the same book and the same material). So, when somebody older than you that has experienced this stuff is trying to help you out and explain to you that things in high school are different than college, don't take offense, listen!

I just have one question though. It says you're 15. Doesn't that make you a freshman in high school? I didn't think they allowed freshmen to take AP classes normally. Normally those classes are reserved for Juniors and Seniors in high school.

I agree.. I took AP classes in high school.. A's with flying colors. Lol.. College totally different story. Sometimes I wish high school wasn't so easy for me, because I think I would be doing alot better in college if I learned how to work hard at things.

Anyway, my high school wouldn't allow you to take AP classes til Junior year as well.

All the schools around us also only allow AP classes in your junior and senior year. I didn't even know you could take that many AP classes in one semester. Maybe those are the ones he's taking throughout the year?

What is "AP Human Geography"? I didn't know we had geographical features as people...Guess I need to go back to college...maybe take some AP High School courses...

Also...why is it that everytime David wants to get a new snake, we end up with a 25+ page topic about it, and all the same people saying all the same things that were said the LAST time David said he wanted a new snake?

Oh, BTW...My daughter is in AP Kindergarten this year. Seriously. Her class is K/1, meaning she is taking kindergarten and first grade at the same time. But she isn't raedy for AP Human Geography OR a Blood Python...

Jim...Is that YOU in the Bike Shorts? Man...gonna have nightmares from that one...

Doesn't anyone else get sick of going through this time and time again? Hasn't anyone learned to just leave this stuff alone and let David do whatever David wants to do, and leave the cautioning/disciplining/decision-making up to him and his parents?

Good intentions are a wonderful thing. I have good intentions...I try to do right, and help people out, and give them good advice. But people are ignorant and don't listen most of the time. Everybody is convinced they know more than everybody else. So if EVERYONE is convinced of thjis...what difference does it make which side of the fence you stand on?

I'm gonna re-fill my coffee cup and go find something that puts a smile on my face to look at...

I took a human geography class once (sociology of sexuality). It was an AWESOME class.

Yea, I took Sociology through High School and College, as well. I just never heard the term "Human Geography" before. IMO, the term is not remotely fitting of the studies... Geography is about location. Sociology is the study of people and cultures...not locations on a map...
