So big snake keeper here considering getting into corn snakes. I've been shopping around a little bit on vms herp, which seems to be the best place to find a large variety morphs. Are there any other good sites out there? Also any advice for feeding? I've been buying rats and bunnies for so long pinkies and mice confuse me lol [emoji1]

I like Steven Roylance, Don at SMR, Nanci at Snicker Snakes, Walter Smith. I have snakes from all of them. They are wonderful. I follow the Munson plan for feeding. I have a little weight scale to weigh out the pinks and the mice. Welcome.

Thank you [emoji2] I'll check them out, I've got a scale so yay on that. I'm thinking of trying to produce opal tesseras, just think that would be a pretty snake.

Hi, there are a lot of us here in the Phoenix area, but as for other web sites you can't beat this one. It has the most knowledgeable mentors and friendly folks in general. You seem to know your reptiles, and put me on the list for an opal tessera! I might have to become your housemate because my husband may boot me for getting more corns, but as you know, it is an addiction!

Welcome, and enjoy the fun!

Welcome to the forum! Glad to see another Arizona member here. What sort of big snakes do you keep?

Glad to know there's such a great community here in AZ. I have three retics, two burms, and a green anaconda. My biggest snake being my 11 foot tiger retic.

Neat! I'd love to see some photos. I've heard that retics are more active and seem more intelligent than burms. Have you found that to be true with yours?

Oh very much so, retics have an intelligence about them and that can make them a little intimidating to work with. They are always trying to figure things out and when they are a bit feisty can make things really interesting. My male dwarf can be a bit.... well... a bit of a jerk at times and when he comes back on you it'll get your blood flowing and your heart pumping. Don't get me wrong though most of the time he's dog tame.
