Continued-What I found at the pet store!

What's a "Stonewash?" And is "yetti" a Mohr-ism, or a real term? I know, it's a mythical snow-beast from the Himalayas. Just when I think I'm getting the terminology straight....*sigh*

It is one of the names given to snowXopal. There are differen't names also for it. Another I have heard is "snowpal"

Sorry, did not mean to confuse.

There was a father and son team a good while back that bought a ton of snakes from several of the big people and were going to breed them and make tons of $$. Well, that didn't pan out so well as they didn't have a good idea about genetics (something about het creamsicles :sidestep:) and thought they could call anything they had by new names. Plus, being in it for the money they soon realized that it is actually work and that the money is not plentiful.

They produced an anery amel lavender and decided yetti would be the name. Search here and you'll see some posts. Nice guys...just didn't have what it took to stay in the biz.

Thanks for the clarification. :)

But gee whiz, now I guess my plans to make zillions of dollars in the current burgeoning luxury herp market with no labor investment or study might need revision.... :sidestep: I guess it's a good thing I'm involving myself in this because I'm enjoying it.

I love my new camera!!

Some say snow, so say opal, some say snopal, I believe the only true way I am going to figure this mystery out is through breeding trials, which so many suggested. So now to find out the sex to find a suitable mate!!

well regardless, VERY nice petshop find! I am going to petco tomorrow to see if i can find something special but will probably not get lucky. i guess we will see, but again very nice snake!

I still say snow :) Maybe a hypo snow.. The only way to know for sure is breeding trials. You can take it to someone knowledgeable about snakes and have them sex it for you. If its a boy, youll just need a female snow and/or a female opal to breed it to. Good luck with your new pretty little snake..

Oh wow, he really is a gorgeous thing!! I'm glad you were able to get him. :D

Good luck with your breeding trials!
