Corn on book cover - BAD!

Oh man, I am the registrar/coordinator for a Bible College. One of my duties is buying the text books for th esemester. While looking up prices ( I try to get good deals) on Sumrall's "Acts of the Apostles", I came across this. Egad! A cute baby corn snake as evil? Thats just wrong. It's an old edition, so at least its not currently circulating, but what were they thinking.... I gues they are trying to tap into peoples irrational fear of snakes, and the whole serpent in the garden thing. (Lets not turn this into a religious debate, those threads already exist.)

I guess, this is funny, but why a CORN snake?

They could have at least used a true hateling for the picture, made it look a little more evil instead of cute and innocent. But maybe it's a good thing they didn't...

Is that edition of the book out of print?

Yeas. The newer editions are red with no snake. I found some on Alibris, a used book site, for $4.57 and ordered one just to have it.

They are evil! You unknowingly fall under their spell, acquiring more and more... The next thing you know, you have a whole room dedicated to them... I think they're plotting world domination... :D

Well, you're right there. That would explain why we have so many. :roflmao:
