Okay so I've got my friend's Corn snake to breed with my snow corn corn ( my snow is the male )
Now his female has an extremly blunt nose and her face looks strong.
I'm going to add a photo of it but its not very clear as she is going to shed in the next day or so. But what do you guys think its from?? Genetics?? A hybrid ?? Any advise

I'm thinking beast corn (corn/black rat hybrid).

She is an adult and only weighs 590 grams and is probably about 1,2m in length which is smaller than my pure corn snake. And to my knowledge the beast grow bigger than normal corns??

Normally, beast corns are quite large. Do you know that she is full grown?

Yes she is old. He said she is about 4-5 years old. And my corn is 5foot and weighs 908grams so would think the beast corn is would be bigger ?? But ill post more pics tomorrow morning of her head.

A lot would have to do with how she has been fed, but I would expect her to be larger. A lot of black rat hybrids show the dark striping (like a yellow rat's), and have the thick build she does, but it's just a guess.

You mean it could be a lot about the feeding ?? Taking it you mean that's from the size of her and not the shape of her head ??
She was always fed a small hopper every wednesday and sunday but he started feeding her an adult mouse every sunday.

A snake's size directly correlates to the amount of food it digests, much more than age.

Comparison between their heads. The silver is 1,4m weighs 908 grams and the other is 1,2m and weighs 590 grams.
And I know size and feed goes together. I'm asking about the snake if its a hybrid or genetics.

There's really no way to tell. Does your friend know anything about her history? I've seen a pretty wide variation in the shape/length of cornsnakes' heads, ranging from long and narrow to a shorter, more blunt snout. That girl is definitely on the stubby end of the range, but she is also blue, which may be causing her neck to be puffier than it normally would be, too. I would probably not have questioned it.

But since you do, and she's a normal, is she supposed to have some hets that will go with your snow? It might be better to just pick another female, if you have sincere doubts about her purity.

I am with Chip. I don't think she is a corn. I think she is an hybrid, My best guess would be a beast as well.

As for the second snake in comparison. That is not your snow, correct? Because that snake is not a snow. It appears to be an anery. I just want to confirm and I am not confused.

Haha no that's not my snow corn. That is my anery pregnant female. That photo was just to compare the heads. And to the question on if she is het anything for my corn. It will be no we don't know anything about her parents. I just fell inlove with the strong head when I saw it. So was hoping that I will get offspring with the same head. But I was also considering the beast idea but she does seem to be a bit small for a beast corn. She is only 1,2m and weighs 590 grams. I'm more experienced in boas and ball pythons so please correct me if I'm wrong in thinking a beast is a bit larger. Ill quickly take a photo of her whole body for everyone to see and then maybe have a better input in what she might be and my other theory was that she might be a jungle corn because a king snake has a much blunter and stronger head than a corn snake ( in most cases ). Once again I might be wrong with this as I'm only starting with corn snakes now only have been owning corns for about a year now. Let me know if you want picture of bottom side of snake or eye or anything that could help identify it.

Just to clear any confusions !! This is the male snow that I will be attempting to breed with her. He is just over 3 years old now. Over a meter and weighs 414grams. So he isn't the larger specimen but hopefully ill get some pretty offspring and the silver *Naomi* had her pre-lay shed about 3 days ago so I'm expecting eggs in a week or so. Busy setting up the incubator now and will add photos on here as soon as she lays them. Will add a picture or 2 of her as well. she is really a beaut. :dancer:

That seems like pretty small meals for an adult snake. I would say she needs to be eating a large mouse every week to 2 weeks. I would say she's small due to under feeding. Not sure it that can be fixed at this point or not.

She. Is actually not small hey. She is about 650grams and 1,3m long so she is a fairly good size corn snake. An adult mouse weighs about 38grams( very big ones) and he fed her one mouse about 15-20grams twice a week so in the end he still fed about the size of a large mouse a week. I don't have any pictures of her cuz she isn't mine but I also gave the guy some advice on feeding. She is a TINY bit underweight and I gave the guy a male and female rat so he can feed his 2 ball pythons and this corn a rat once a week and will go check on his animals about the 25th Jan and update everyone on the condition on both his corn and balls.

I'm thinking beast corn (corn/black rat hybrid).

Yeah, corn/rat hybrid for sure. I talked my daughter into one a show this summer. BIG GUY ! same head shape.
Probably in the 1300g to 1500g range.
Eats a med rat every 2 weeks.
We use him for shows. Very good about being passed around.
