Okay... I can't read through this entire thread, but I wanted to make an offer to anyone who needs a UTH. I have a few I don't need, I'm willing to ship them out to those like COerriccaRN who need one but don't have the $$$. I will warn you they run pretty hot (even though I have them stuck to plexi-glass to reduce heat) so you are going to need a thermometer. A decent cheap digital therm will run about $10. You can use the book stack method if you don't have a thermostat. But a free UTH will get you halfway there. So PM me if you're interested.

Just to clarify this as there appears to be some confusion... The UTH is FREE and you don't need a credit card. I will pay for any shipping costs out of my own pocket.
 
Very awesome, but I could never take a free UTH. Or just give out my adress to someone I don't know. I wish we lived closer :(

Erica, just take the gift in the spirit it's meant, to help you with your snakes. Give a trusted adult's address or a postal box!

Ummm...My adress? We don't have a P.O. Box, just a personal adress...Um, I could maybe use my Grandma's...My mom and dad would freak if they found out I gave my adress to someone on the internet.

Agreed. Jenne's generosity is what this place is truly all about. It happens time and time again around here....these are good people who will go out of their way to help a stranger. You're not likely to find that on another cyber forum.

I know...But I am new to this site and giving out my home adress to a stranger makes me nervous. Not to mention, I would be in huge trouble with the parents.
 
Erica, trust me, Jenne is good peoples, I promise! You and her should just do the PMs for a bit and maybe even take Jenne's phone number and you can block your number and call her. That might help you feel a bit better about a "stranger". You are wise to be safe, I commend you for that! Find a way to get her "gift" to you. We are all here to help when we can. We actually send someone some flex watt heat tape once because she really needed it and couldnt get any on her end in time.

But us here at PJC Reptiles will vouch for Jenne!
