Crush's Progression Thread

***UPDATE***
5 days after eating his second set of double pinks, he weighs 20 grams :D
He just ate what would be his third set of double pinks....and pooped in his feeding container... :-/
But the best news is....(other than him already being 20 grams, cause I am excited that he is growing)......but the best new is that he is in BLUUUUUUUUUUUUE!!! (Again:) )
He shed once soon after I got him, and now his eyes are a noticeable pale pink, and he is much more dull than normal...color not personality :p

So recap :D
20 Grams (WHOO-HOO!)
Pooped (NOT SO MUCH WHOO-HOO :) )
IN BLUE :D :D

-Josh

20 Grams - Woot!! He's getting so big!
Pooped - at least he's not constipated!
In Blue - always good news! Can't wait for post-shed pics!

Here are three pics I snapped of him before he went "clear"...you can really tell with his eyes this time, they are definitely more pink than usual...the second one is to have a nice "preshed" pic...and the third is just him chillin' out after I put him up :D

Ha...that last picture above made me think back to when I first got him and how much he has already grown! Here is a picture of him the corner of the same 10gal. tank from above.....WOW he is getting big!

Ya know I am not entirely sure on age...he is the one I got from a pet store around here...he was 12 grams when I got him though...and that was like the first week of February....

So between my crappy camera and crappy photography skills, these are the best two I came out with after feeding them today....:(
Oh well...he should shed soon...I noticed he was in blue last Wednesday...

Here he is in a feeding tub...the tub is a 15qt. Sterilite Latchbox....just for some size comparison...

Holy $hit...he is missing.
I don't know how he got out, I put him right back in his tank after I took the pics above...and that was at like 2pm yesterday...
I didn't put the clips back on, but there was a binder with about 200 pages of paper in it, and a critter-keeper with two adult mice in it on top of his cage....
He is just 22 grams?!?! For the life of me I can't figure out how he escaped.
I have looked high and low and in every nook and cranny I can think of, and cannot find him. I sifted through the aspen in his tank about 5 zillion times, with no luck. I am out of ideas...and very upset and bewildered. Any advice?

Oh no! I would set out some of those soda bottle traps & check edges of rooms & warm & dark spots. Maybe put something under the crack of the door so he can't leave the room (hopefully he hasn't left the room). Put out some food and hope he comes looking for it? If it were me I'd come here & search the forum for all the tips & tricks I could. I hope you find him soon!

Oh no!! :( I'm sorry to hear that Crush has escaped.... Just follow some of the tricks offered on this forum and I am sure he will turn up in no time :) Just be hopeful- I've only ever had 2 escapes in my time of owning corns and I'm pretty aware of how you're feeling right now. The good thing is that both times, both snakes have returned in less than 2 days.

Just keep an extra eye out! Also, try not to move stuff around TOO much; you never know where he could be and constantly moving things could do more damage than good :awcrap: I'm hoping he returns to you soon! Best of luck, Josh!
