Decorating the Viv

I suppose this question falls under "husbandry." My little girl lives in a "forest" sort of vivarium set up. It looks pretty, but incomplete. I was wondering if I scattered fake leaves over the viv floor, would this irritate her, or make her happy since she'd have more to burrow in than just her substrate?

I understand this would add more time and cleaning to my routine, since I'd have to clean the leaves if/when she used the bathroom on them and I'm ok with that. They would most likely be plastic, but possibly silk, depending on what I find. From everything I've read and seen, I don't see why this would be a problem at all, but just want to double check before I go through with it. Since its fall, I'm thinking I can probably find a package of nice fall covered leaves at Micheals or something for fairly cheap.

:spinner: Thanks guys! :spinner:

I think she'd like it. I used to decorate with real loquat leaves from outside- they are very sturdy.

Great! I've added some fake leaves and some vines so hopefully she feels more secure and comes out more :) Even if she doesn't come out more, it did add a nice touch to the viv and make it look more green :)

Snakes love vines! And you may as well have a pretty viv for how often a snake is actually out...

Ooooh... I never even considered loose leaf decorations... thank you for the idea! ;D

Wow! that is super nice. I can't wait for my corns and hoggie to get bigger so I can move them into bigger cages that I'll be able to decorate. I have so many plans haha. They're going to be so spoiled.
