That's not sand. Its paper towels. It just looks like sand. If you take a look at Marzipan's journal, you'd see that "wonton" uses multiple layers of paper towel as substrate.
 
Joejr14 - It's a paper towel. Thanks for your concern, though. =)

jazzgeek - Yeah, the quality is lousy. It was without a flash, at night, through plastic. I fiddled with it in photoshop and this was the best I could do with it. I just wanted to share it because it amused me.
